Vectum has a new look

In recent discussions with SCOPE, we have come to an agreement that we will from now on officially call ourselves Vectum instead of SCOPE | Vectum. This name change came about due to frequent mishaps with members and partners concerning which part of the name should be spoken out. We hope that changing our name to Vectum does not cause any more confusion. and we hope for your understanding.

With a new name comes a new logo. We have asked an external company for their help in designing this logo, and we are overjoyed with the outcome.

The star in the logo hints back to our old logo, which can be seen below. We thought returning the star into the logo would be a great way to show our appreciation to the history of Vectum. However, we decided on a more contemporary look. The star in the original logo comes from the Maastricht coat of arms, which can be seen throughout Maastricht.

Additionally, the logo can be split up into three stages. The first stage, which can be seen on the top of the page, contains the star, our name and our tagline. This is the logo which we will use for open days, career events, banners etc. It gives you all the information you need to know about what we are, all in one glance.

The second stage of the logo is where we remove the tagline, and only the star and our name is visible. This stage is used when there isn’t a lot of space available to showcase our logo, but it still contains the essentials of knowing to whom the logo belongs.

The final stage is just the star. People that are familiar with our logo will recognise it in a bat of an eye; this gives us the freedom to apply our logo where there is only a limited amount of space available. This gives our logo instant recognition, making it accessible and approachable.

In all the stages of the logo, you can find the star and our iconic Vectum Red colour. Vectum Red has the RGB value of #c61624 and is used throughout the website and promotional material.
