In celebration of our international student community, Vectum is organising an online Geography Quiz together with the Unicef Student Team Maastricht on Tuesday, November 3, 19:30 over Zoom!
Can you recite countries and capital cities at lightning speed? Do you know the world map as well as the back of your hand? Or as a globally minded Maastricht University student, are you curious about what’s going on in different corners of the world? If so, then you do not want to miss this fun quiz! The top winners will even win prizes provided by Unicef! And even if geography was not your favourite subject at school, then do not fear! This quiz would still be a fun way to engage with your friends while learning some interesting facts!
Before the start of the quiz, volunteers from the Unicef Student Team Maastricht will introduce their work, explain how to get involved, and share how to help with your donations. Then, the quiz will commence via Kahoot. If you want to be prepared for the quiz, then you may want to brush up on the following topics:
Borders
Capitals
Population Sizes
Languages (no fluency required)
Heads of government
International affairs and recent news
International institutions and member states
As Econometrics students, we should be familiar with some economic terms, i.e. GDP, HDI, currencies
Since it will be U.S. election day, you can expect some specific questions on the U.S. presidency!
