Ho Ho Ho! This Christmas, many students may not be able to celebrate with their family and loved ones back home due to Covid-19, or some may not have been able to come to Maastricht in the first place. If you’re a Vectum member who would like to share the Christmas spirit with a fellow Econometrician, then you can participate in our Secret Santa gift-giving and postcard-sending, organised by the Social Initiatives Committee.

If you’re based in Maastricht for the remainder of the period, we will assign you to a fellow member for whom you will provide a small gift that you must deliver. We recommend a student-friendly budget of 5 Euros, but it is ultimately up to you. In turn, another member will give you a gift! Please remember to be safe and stick to the government’s safety guidelines. If you are not based in Maastricht, but would like to participate, then we will pair you up with another student who is also based outside of Maastricht. You can then exchange postcards or a letter from your unique home to share the Christmas spirit! 

The deadline for signing up is on Friday, December 4th, 23:59 CET. Afterwards, we will allocate the members. You are then free to share pictures of you with your gift or postcard for our Vectum blog.
