Working student/intern

At Sprenkels you are welcome to write your thesis or you can start working as a working student. You will receive guidance from consultants to write a good thesis and successfully complete your studies. As a working student you will start working for the client immediately and you will also have the opportunity to explore different fields. You can also combine a working studentship with an internship.

About Sprenkels

At Sprenkels, we work from Amsterdam and Rotterdam with approximately 100 professionals on solutions that are socially relevant and impactful. We do this in the areas of risk management, actuarial science, investments, legal, communication & reputation, project and transition management and employee benefits. Clients can also contact us for strategy development. Our approach is characterized by short lines, a personal approach, professionalism and pragmatism. We always keep it as simple as possible!

What will you do as a working student?

As a working student, you will help analyze and create financial and risk management analyses under the supervision of our actuarial and investment consultancy teams. You will work with our financial models and learn how to write strategic advice and analyze (financial) data. In addition, you will also develop your soft skills, such as advisory writing and presenting. Within Sprenkels, you will have the opportunity to discover which branch of sport suits you best to perhaps join as a consultant after your studies.

What does an internship with us look like?

During an internship, you will work on a thesis topic that you have chosen in consultation with the university (and with your thesis supervisor at Sprenkels). You are welcome at the office every day, which makes it easy to ask colleagues for help. Many interns choose to combine their internship with a working studentship, which means that in addition to completing your thesis, you will also gain relevant work experience and see what you can expect if you were to come and work for us as a consultant.

What are we looking for in you?

  • You are studying for a master's degree in econometrics, actuarial science or another quantitative study.

  • Affinity with the financial sector and quantitative models.

  • Strong social and analytical skills.

  • You are ambitious, enterprising and self-starting.

  • You are interested in continuing to work with us after your studies.

  • A good command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written.
