Quinn Cuijpers

I, Quinn Cuijpers, am thrilled to be become the next year's Treasurer. With my bachelor's degree in Econometrics and Operations Research freshly completed, I am looking forward to continuing my studies with a 1-year master's program next year. I am eager to work alongside my fellow board members and contribute meaningfully to the legacy of this organization.

My foremost objective is to ensure financial stability by carefully managing Vectum's expenses and income. While this task might not be the most glamorous, it is essential. I am committed to following the path set by previous Treasurers in maintaining the financial health of the organization. To achieve this, I will collaborate closely with Edoardo and Maxim, our Internal and External Affairs coordinators. Additionally, I will work hard to ensure our revenues keep pace with the rising costs brought about by inflation.

As Treasurer, I will be responsible for overseeing the extra tutorials program, which is crucial for helping students excel in their most difficult courses. Having served as a tutor myself, I understand the program's significance and am dedicated to meeting students' needs and maintaining the high quality of the tutorials. Furthermore, I plan to enhance the newly established game theory tutorials by thoroughly updating the accompanying materials.

One of my key goals for the upcoming year is to budget the lustrum effectively. The lustrum is a significant milestone for our organization, and it deserves a celebration that reflects its importance. My aim is to allocate funds wisely to ensure that the event is both memorable and financially responsible. I will carefully plan and monitor the budget to maximize the impact of our resources, ensuring that every expenditure contributes to a successful and enjoyable lustrum. By doing so, I hope to honor the tradition of our organization while maintaining our financial stability.

I also aim to actively encourage new members to participate in our events and stay for the Preuverij afterward. These gatherings are vital for building a strong community among Econometrics students, a core value of Vectum. They provide unique opportunities for first-year students to connect with their senior peers and for everyone to strengthen their bonds. As the person in charge of providing drinks, I will interact with everyone and strive to make sure all members feel welcomed and have an enjoyable time.

In conclusion, my primary goal is to sustain Vectum's financial stability, continuing the excellent work of my predecessors. I will give my utmost effort to fulfill this responsibility. Additionally, I aim to enhance the organization's efficiency and foundations through close cooperation with other board members and to actively participate in brainstorming and implementing new ideas. Lastly, I am dedicated to making the Econometrics Society a vibrant and enjoyable community by leveraging my ability to build new connections easily and joyfully.
